City Issues Heat Advisories

Director of Administrative Services, Glenda Hackemack and the West Central Area Agency on Aging want to remind everyone to check on their neighbors and especially the elderly during this period of extreme heat.

For those without air conditioning it is suggested to seek temporary relief from the heat at the Senior Center, Kroc Center and the Salvation Army Family Services Office, Quincy Public Library or the Quincy Mall during their normal business hours.

Everyone is reminded to drink plenty of water and make sure pets outside have clean, fresh water and shade.
