The Chicago Bears are conducting a "Junior Day" at Quincy University's campus from 1-3 p.m. this afternoon to work out wide receiver Eric Poindexter and right tackle Donavan Vance. The duo will each go through an interview with a Bears scout, take a 12-minute Wonderlic test and run a 40-yard dash as the Bears prepare for the 2017 draft.

The Bears reached out to Quincy University Head Coach Tom Pajic about setting up the opportunity for Poindexter and Vance, who are entering their senior seasons. Poindexter was named to the All-GLVC first team last season, while Vance was an honorable mention choice.

Meanwhile the Q.U. Hawks football team will hold a workout this Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. and then again on Friday from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m. in preparation for Saturday’s  "Spring Game".  That game will commence at 11:00 a.m. and go to about 1:00 p.m. The “Spring Game” on Saturday will be played more like a live practice with a portion as an 11 against 11 scrimmage at QU Stadium.
