Because of the winter weather this weekend, the 18th annual Teen Health Fair on Saturday, Feb. 1. has been cancelled.

(Original story): The CHART Teen Task Force provides education for area teens to help them make healthy lifestyle choices.

The health fair is at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center in Hannibal and runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fair will feature booths on health and safety, a DJ providing music and free food and prizes. There will also be information on bullying, dental and mental health issues and the effects of drugs and alcohol. The Missouri Highway Patrol's seat belt convincer sled will be on hand, and there will be a zumba demonstration courtesy of the YMCA.

Admission is free. CHART Teen Task Force and the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department co-sponsor the event. Also helping make the health fair possible are the Riedel Foundation, Hannibal Evening Kiwanis and the United Way of the Mark Twain Area.

Laura Dorian of the CHART Teen Task Force was a recent guest on KHMO's Talk Back:
