Quincy Memorial Bridge Closed Due to High Water

The Mississippi River flood problems continue to plague the area.  At approximately 9:45 a.m., IDOT and MoDOT crews closed the US 24 eastbound traffic on the Quincy Memorial Bridge at the Mississippi River at West Quincy. The Bayview Bridge at Quincy will temporarily carry both east and westbound traffic into Quincy or motorists may cross the Mississippi River Bridge on I-72/US 36 over the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge at Hannibal.

So the news broke late last week that officials are looking at installing a "roundabout" at 48th and State to alleviate traffic congestion at that intersection in Quincy. Yankee and Cardinal Fans, Hop on the Big Dog Express Memorial Day

Memorial Day will be a memorable one this year at Busch Stadium as the New York Yankees play the St. Louis Cardinals in a 3:15 game.
