Anyone who enjoyed watching the Quincy Gems play baseball this summer was glad to hear that the team was sold to a local group consisting of Terry Martin, his son, Chris Martin, along with Julie and Jimmy Louthen. The City of Quincy is offering its fall tree planting program starting on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 through Friday, October 31, 2014. Under the program, Quincy residents and business owners may buy one tree each for planting on the City’s right of way adjacent to the applicant’s property. The cost is $40 each tree.
