Following a bout of severe weather that passed through the area on Wednesday night, residents of Monroe City are now cleaning up debris scattered throughout the town. Monroe County was under a tornado warning on Wednesday, and Monroe County Sheriff's deputies report that a tornado did touch down south of Madison.
(UNDATED)—Significant wind related damage is reported around Monroe City. Workcrews were busy getting trees and other debris out of the streets. Electric service was out as well.
(Hannibal)--The weather pendulum that brought drought last year and low river levels has now swung to the flooding side.
(UNDATED)—High water is on the way along the Mississippi River. The National Weather Service says the Mississippi will crest Tuesday at Hannibal at 26.3 feet—just over ten feet above technical flood stage.
2:45 p.m. (EST): The Boston Police Department has announced that "there has not been an arrest in the Marathon attack." Investigations are ongoing.
2:35 p.m.: CNN is retracting their previous report that an arrest has been made in the Boston Marathon bombings. Other sources are reporting that officials are close to identifying a suspect after reviewing area surveillance video, but no arrests have been made.
1:10 p.m. (EST): A third letter, this one sent to Senator Joe Manchin (D.-W.V.), has been found to contain ricin.
12:45 p.m. (EST): FBI spokesman Paul Bresson has confirmed that the substance found in the letter to the president was ricin.
The Secret Service says that a letter containing a suspicious substance and addressed to President Obama was received on Tuesday at a White House mail facility. This comes just after a letter sent to Senator Roger Wicker (R.-Miss.) was found to contain the poison ricin.

April 16, 2013 When I heard about two explosions in Boston during the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon, it brought back flashbacks of 9-11 all over again. Innocent people killed and maimed for no reason at all. It also brought out the anger in me in that I wanted this person (or these persons) to suffer for it, as well. God would not have been proud of me for what I was thinking.
