The Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division is home to a vast collection of historical images. After searching their catalog for "Quincy, Illinois," we were able to find a number of interesting photographs, including shots of St. Francis Hall, Lock & Dam 21, the John Wood Mansion, and a couple of images from a speech delivered in Quincy by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1903.

The Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division has a large collection of historic photographs. In searching the collection, we have found several interesting images for Quincy and Hannibal. There are also several shots from a number of additional cities in our area, including Palmyra, Pittsfield, Louisiana, Clarksville and Keokuk. Unfortunately, dates are not available for all of these images, and it appears that a few may not be accurately labeled. Even so, it is interesting to take a look back at these historic images.
