Everywhere I went this weekend it was the same comment, "when is this rain going to stop?" There is a silver lining in all this in that we didn't have any severe weather accompany the heavy rains we got and the West Nile Virus problem maybe helped by all the rain.

With the levee gates out there is plenty of public parking downtown and several special activities planned throughout the festival. The stores and shops downtown as well as the festival vendors are looking forward to a very busy weekend.”
