Check Out This Green ‘Rod and the Satalites’ Record We Found in the Radio Station [Video]

Radio stations are places that end up collecting a lot of stuff. Some of the stuff is really neat. Some of it is not. Here's something we found that is a piece of local music history. Rod and the Satalites was a band that was popular in our area in the 1960s, and we have a very nice copy of one of their records. Something unusual about the record is that it is green, and inside the sleeve was something else we found interesting, a "live on KHMO radio" stage pass from a show at the American Legion in Hannibal.

The latest contribution that we've run across comes from a website known as roadsnacks.net. They have compiled lists of the Ten Most Redneck Cities in Missouri and Illinois. Quincy University has announced the most ambitious annual fundraising goal in its history! The QU Fund kickoff was held Wednesday at the Quincy University cafeteria, where it was announced that the 2015-16 fundraising goal has been raised to $1.1 million from $1 million. The university has met or exceeded the $1 million goal for the past five years.
