It appears the plan to change the third nine holes at Westview Golf Course in Quincy has run into a stone wall. During a 90 minute open to the public meeting, 19 members of the public took the opportunity to speak and the ideas of Westview Golf Pro Matt Burry to make the changes were not supported by a majority there.

The Twain on Main Festival will proceed as planned in Hannibal during Memorial Day Weekend.

“This year’s festival is gearing up to be even bigger and better than last year,” said Gail Bryant, Director of the Hannibal Convention & Visitors Bureau. With the levee gates out there is plenty of public parking downtown and several special activities planned throughout the festival. The stores and shops downtown as well as the festival vendors are looking forward to a very busy weekend.”
