The number one question in Quincy this week is “what’s going on with the water?” That question was asked even more today when a report came out on a Facebook post and other news web sites that a young Quincy girl was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital with flu-like symptoms.
Being a single person, I tend to eat out more than the average American does. So when I saw a report from ABC News regarding the 10 most germ filled places in a restaurant my interest was peaked.
The Adams County Health Department has been awarded $7,750. This grant is from the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation for a pediatric X-ray sensor for patients ages 6 and under.

Today will mark the American Cancer Society’s 37th Great America Smokeout. It is a day to encourage smokers to make a plan to quit smoking at least for that day if not longer and hopefully forever. By quitting, even for one day, smokers will be taking an important step towards a healthier life, one that can lead to reducing a cancer risk.
