First Baby Of 2013 Honored At Hannibal Regional Hospital

Hannibal Regional Hospital recently honored the birth of the first baby of 2013, Gabriela Nicole. Gabriela was born to Courtney Wooldridge and Valerio Santiago Favian at 9:33 a.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2013, she weighed 8 lb. 7 oz. and was 21 inches long. Gabriela’s birth is not only special because she is the first baby of 2013 welcomed to HRH, but because she shares her birthday with another New Year’s baby, her mother.

Hannibal’s Mathew Sims on National TV

So I put on the TV last night to watch the Discover Orange Bowl in Florida on ESPN. It was Northern Illinois taking on Florida State. Normally I wouldn't have that much of an interest in watching the game except for the fact that Mathew Sims from Hannibal was playing in the game for the Huskies of Northern Illinois.

We do so by dropping our extra change - or even a few bills - into the Salvation Army's red kettles, donating to toy drives like Load the Lobby and Toys for Tots, or volunteering time to serve Christmas dinners to our neighbors who would otherwise be alone at Christmastime.
