It's too bad that Halloween can't be celebrated like it used to be when I was a kid. I would spend about a week thinking of just what I was going to wear on that "scary" night and then I would tell my Mom what I needed for my costume. She was good at making costumes.
I love Halloween. It's one of my favorite times of the year. In fact, I take an entire week of vacation at Halloween time. It's a pretty safe bet that a good chunk of that vacation time will be spent watching scary movies
Halloween is on its way, and parties are bound to pop up. The only problem is that you don't have a costume. You could throw on a dirty old bedsheet, cut a few holes in it and tell people you're a beige ghost. Or you could actually be clever and in-tune with what's happening and hip (as the kids say) by going as viral video star the honey badger.
The Quincy Museum at 1601 Maine Street will be holding an evening of old fashioned fun with their annual Halloween Party on Sunday, October 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Guests will be greeted to this fun and child-friendly party by our not-so-wicked-witches and will be invited to participate in an evening of Victorian fun and games.
