Why Are We Changing Indian Names?

They have been the Washington Redskins since 1932 and now there is once again a movement to change the National Football League's team nickname because it is offensive to many Native Americans.

How many is many?

When I hear the name Redskins, I think of brave warriors who roamed the land years ago. I don't consider it offensive at all.

The Super Bowl Needs to Be Played On Saturday

I ran into a couple of friends of mine who were complaining that the Super Bowl game ended too late. Part of their problem was they both were at Super Bowl parties and were feeling the effects of the parties they were at. Their complaint would not have even been uttered had the game been played on Saturday. I have always wondered why it is they don't move the game to Saturday night.

So I put on the TV last night to watch the Discover Orange Bowl in Florida on ESPN. It was Northern Illinois taking on Florida State.
