The Shrine of St. Patrick will be holding a Corn Maze every weekend in October in St. Patrick, Missouri. The hours each weekend will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays, noon to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
The Meals on Wheels program, like many other service programs, has had to make cuts in the last several months due to lack of funding. It is with that in mind that they hold a monthly opportunity for people in the area called "Cook's Night Off".

The 9th Annual Friends of the Trails Bicycle FUN'd Ride will be held September 20, 2014 at All America Park. The event will have four different distances for cyclists. The event will feature a 15, 33, 63, and 100-mile route for participants to choose from.
As you drive by the Quincy City Hall on Maine Street today, make a special attempt to look at the rusted out and bent television tower that is located in the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Plaza. That rusted out tower sat atop Building #1 of the World Trade Center in New York 13 years ago this morning. It ended up in the rubble of the two towers that collapsed later that morning as a result of the attack on the buildings in 2001.

The City of Quincy, through Allied Waste Services, will conduct the annual city wide cleanup on Saturday, September 27. The hours of operation will be slightly different than in previous years. This year the hours of operation will be from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
