Safe Kids Adams County and the Kohl’s Cares Campaign are hosting a car seat round-up to dispose of old and or expired car seats. This event will take place this Saturday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Kohl’s parking lot at 6100 Broadway.

“There are several factors that make a car seat unsafe. If a car seat is cracked, is more than six years old or has been in a crash, it’s time to get a new car seat,” said Chaundra Bishop, Safe Kids Adams County Coordinator. People are encouraged to get rid of unsafe car seats. Those who bring an old and or expired car seat to be disposed of will receive a $10 Kohl’s gift card.

For more information on Saturday’s event contact Chaundra Bishop at the Adams County Health Department at 222-8440 (Extension 128).
