Ralph McReynolds, Vice President of Camp Callahan's Board of Directors, will be celebrating his 50th birthday this weekend. Most people would mark the occasion with a party with cake and ice cream but not Ralph.

According to the Quincy Herald Whig, he wanted to do something "special" for his 50th birthday so he is converting his birthday party into a Blues Bash at the State Room with all proceeds going to Camp Callahan. The featured bands will be The Duo Sonics from Tulsa, Oklahoma and the King Bees from Quincy with the music starting at 8 p.m.

The cost to enter is $10 with all proceeds going toward Camp Callahan's projects. Camp Callahan is a camp for physically and mentally disabled children and adults located in northern Adams County.
