This weekend marks the ninth and final Cadan's Carnival for CDH.

For the last nine years, Cadan's Carnival has been spreading awareness and raising money for CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia)--a common and deadly birth defect. Celebrating the memory of Cadan Frericks who passed away in 2008, the final Cadan's Carnival will be held October 15 at the Knights of Columbus.

The event will run from 1 PM - 5 PM, and will feature Halloween fun for the whole family. There will be a costume contest, games, prizes, hayrides, bounce houses, food, drinks and so much more. Admission is free for the community and all are encouraged to attend. All proceeds benefit the St. Louis Children's Hospital for CDH Research.

I have taken my girls to this event and it is truly a remarkable event for everyone. I am sad to see it go, but Cadan's parents (Tiffany & Rome Frericks) have done an amazing job over the last nine years in bringing awareness and funds for CDH. For more information about the event, contact Tiffany Frericks at tiffanyfrericks@yahoo.com. You can also send a donation to 1006 Anne Ave. Quincy, IL 62305.
