The Brown County Fair gets underway for another run, July 31st through August 4th at the fairgrounds at Mt. Sterling.

The Brown County Fair is the oldest continuously running county fair in Illinois, tracing its origins back to 1872.

The fair kicks off July 31st, with the Miss Brown County Fair Pageant.

On Wednesday August 1st, the fair features two evenings of harness racing, beginning at 7 pm each night.  Brown County is the only remaining fair to offer pari-mutuel racing in the state.

Friday, August 3rd features a N.T.P.A. sanctioned Grand National Tractor Pull.

Saturday August 4th features the always popular Demolition Derby.
