Boston Among Entertainers Booked For This Summer’s Illinois State Fair

Prepare yourself for perhaps the worst pun ever published. Are you ready? Are you absolutely sure? It's pretty bad.

OK, here we go: We have "more than a feeling" that this year's Illinois State Fair is gonna rock! 

I will pause so everyone can groan.

Classic Rock group Boston, whose hits include 'More Than a Feeling,' 'Foreplay/Long Time,' and 'Amanda,' will be appearing this summer during the Illinois State Fair. Boston will be at the grandstand on Tuesday, August 12 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $17 - $37 for the show, Grandstand reserved seats and track tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12.

The 2014 Illinois State Fair will take place August 7 - 17 in Springfield. State Fair Mega Passes, good for unlimited rides during each day of the fair, are on sale now through July 27.

In addition to Boston, country music's Florida Georgia Line and Jake Owen have also been announced as acts playing in the grandstand at this year's fair.
