Bike Across Missouri Headed for Canton

Several hundred bicyclists will be traveling across Missouri next week as part of the Bike Across Missouri event.

This ride starts in Rockport on Monday June 22 and includes stops in Maryville, Albany, Unionville and Kirksville before ending at the Mississippi River in Canton.

Missouri Highway Patrol Troop B officials say the riders are scheduled to reach Putnam County next Wednesday and spend the night in Unionville. The ride will follow US 136,  Missouri 149 and Missouri 6 to Kirksville on Thursday. Friday’s ride goes to Canton along Missouri 11, Missouri 15, and Routes W, K, E and F along with Missouri 16 into Canton.

Drivers on these roads are encouraged to be alert for the participating bicyclists.
