My radio career began at KIEE-FM in Harrisonville, Missouri which later became KCFX in Kansas City. I worked there for four years before landing a position at WTAD and KHQA-TV here in Quincy doing a radio show and play-by-play sports. After doing TV sports for KHQA, I worked for both WTAD and WQCY-FM (99Q). I joined WGEM as Operations Manager and then returned to WTAD as General Manager. In 2001, I joined Y101. I have been fortunate enough to win six Silver Dome Awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association, including five for best Play-By-Play and one for Best Radio Show Entertainer. I also began the annual Teddy Bear Clinic for Kids at Blessing Hospital in 1989 and am co-founder (1986) of the annual St. Patrick’s Parade. My favorite music is the blues. The New York Yankees, Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Blues are my favorite teams. I played baseball for 24 years and my claim to fame is a double off of Rick Sutcliffe when we both played in Kansas City. Years later, I am still doing what I love.
