Jeffrey Dorsey

My radio career began at KIEE-FM in Harrisonville, Missouri which later became KCFX in Kansas City. I worked there for 4 years before landing a position at WTAD and KHQA-TV here in Quincy doing a radio show and play-by-play sports. After doing TV Sports for KHQA, I worked for both WTAD and WQCY-FM (99Q). I moved over to WGEM as Operations Manager and then returned to WTAD as General Manager. In 2001 I joined Y101. I have been fortunate enough to win 6 Silver Dome Awards from the Illinois Broadcasters Association , including 5 for best Play-By-Play and one for Best Radio Show Entertainer. My favorite music is the Blues. The New York Yankees and the Kansas City Chiefs are my favorite teams. I played baseball for 24 years and my claim to fame is a double off of Rick Sutcliffe when we both played in Kansas City.

It’s Time For Cardinal Manager Mike Matheny to Get Fired Up!

In all my years of playing baseball, every winning team I was on seemed to have one or two guys who had that spark or edge about them when they played. Usually it was a player, but sometimes the manager was the person that lit the fire for the team. With that said, the St. Louis Cardinals had better find that person soon or they will be home watching the playoffs in October.

Robin, We Needed You To Make Us Laugh Now More Than Ever

I watched the news last night at 5:30 and the more I watched the more I became depressed with the state of affairs in our country and the world. In the short time I watched the television, I saw stories about children being executed, famine relief, rioting in the St. Louis area, power plants being bombed, wildfires in the west, hurricanes in Hawaii and the spreading Ebola disease in Africa and three people including two children died in a Quincy fire. My God is there no good news anywhere?
