Quincy Notre Dame High School is celebrating a major upgrade at the school.

QND has announced that it is installing an artificial turf field that will be ready by this fall. A ground breaking ceremony took place Wendesday morning and installation crews are ready to begin the work. The project cost is $850,000. This is great news for all the students and families at QND. The new field will be named  Advance Physical Therapy Field. The project is expected to be finished within 60 days.

This is huge news for not only the players, but also for other events that can be held at the school, including marching band contests, a place for the band to practice on, and other activities that have not been done before at QND. No more ruts or holes on the the playing field. No more muddy field to play on at home. This is a dream come true.

I have just one question, will the picture of the QND Raider Mascot be painted on the field?
