(Quincy, Ill)--Police apprehend two suspects in connection with the Saturday morning robbery of the G & H Shortstop Convenience Store on 6th Street.

Investigators developed information that led them to two juveniles walking in the area of 8th and Monroe Streets at 3:47 Saturday afternoon.  Both were taken into custody.  Officers say one is a 14 year-old Quincy resident and the other is a 15 year-old resident of Ursa.

Both suspects were taken to the Adams County Juvenile Detention Center.

Police say the gun believed to be used in the robbery was actually a pellet gun that resembled a semi-automatic handgun.  It was recovered at a Quincy residence.

(Quincy, Ill)--Police rushed to the G & H Shortstop convenience store at 10:30 this morning in response to an armed robbery call.

The clerk told officers that two men entered the store located at 1414 South 6th Street.  One brandished a handgun and pointed it at the clerk.  The suspect demanded money and took cash from the register.  A small amount of merchandise was also taken.

Both suspects fled on foot.  No injuries were reported.

Quincy Police describe one suspect as a white male, wearing a dark hoody with blue jeans.  His face was partially concealed with a clothing item.

The second suspect is described as a white or light skinned mixed-race male.  He also  partially concealed his face.  He is estimated to be 15 to 18 years of age.
