Are You Mailing Christmas Cards This Year?

Today is officially "Christmas Card Day." It is a day when the majority of us will be mailing out our holiday greeting cards to family and friends. Will you be mailing cards this year?I may be old fashioned, but I still send out Christmas cards, albeit my list may be getting a little shorter with each passing year. With the advent of emails and social media the card giving business has definitely taken a hit over the last few years.

Then there is the cost to mail a card which is now 46 cents which is up 40 cents since 1970, 31 cents since 1980, 17 cents since 1992 and 12 cents since 2001.

I, for one, still like to check my mailbox to see who might have taken the time to send me a card. Merry Christmas, card or not.
