Are Christmas Decorations Going Up Sooner This Year?

Thanks to Standard Time arriving earlier this month there are days when I come to work in the dark and go home in the dark.  Such was the case last week when I left work, entered my car and began my trek home. Perhaps it was it being so dark so early, but it caught my eye and I did a double take. It was a house all lit up with Christmas decorations. For me, it is a little early for that, but for others maybe not. Then came last night when I passed another home all lit up with red, green and white bulbs. Did I fast forward a couple of weeks and not realize it?

I know the stores were gearing up for Christmas way before Halloween, but I don't recall seeing homes all decorated this early before. Before you ask me, "Does it bother you, Jeff?" The answer is no. I'm just making an observation before it gets out of hand. I just hope I never see Santa splashing in the pool in July.  Just sayin!
