Any Day You Can Go Fishing Is A Good Day – Join Us For the Fishing Rodeo in Quincy!
The sun is out, the weather is beautiful, so let's go fishing with the family! On Saturday, June 7, the annual Fishing Rodeo will be held at Moorman Lake in Quincy.
The event is for ages 0 - 9, ages 10 -15 and ages 16 - seniors (60 plus). Prizes will be awarded for the largest bass, largest crappie, largest catfish and largest carp (measured by length). An award will also be given to the oldest and youngest fisher-person, whether they catch at fish or not.
There are no entry fees and no admission will be charged to attend. This is free for all ages and everyone is welcome. Plus, the date is a "free fishing day" and no fishing license is required to fish in the state of Illinois. The registration starts at 12:30, fishing starts at 1 and awards at 3 pm.
