The Adams County Health Department will have new immunizations clinic hours effective September 1, 2016. Hours on Monday through Thursday will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The first Wednesday of each month the clinic will be open from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. only. The immunizations clinic is closed on Fridays.

Tuberculosis screenings will be done with testings conducted on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and readings done on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On the first Wednesday of each month screenings and readings will be done from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. only.

The Adams County Health Department is now accepting most private insurance as well as the medical card. The Immunizations clinic operates on a walk in basis.

Remember to have your insurance card or medical card with you to present at time of service. First time clients for immunizations at the Adams County Health Department will also need to bring previous shot records.

The Adams County Health Department would like to remind everyone that now is the time to get your back to school shots. All 6th, 9th and 12th graders need to have proof of two varicella vaccines, a meningococcal vaccine and T-dap vaccine.
