Illinois State Police will conduct Roadside Safety Checks in Adams County.

During the month of April, the Illinois State Police will be on the lookout for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended drivers license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.

It is sad to say, but nearly 40 percent of all fatal motor crashes in Illinois are due to drinking and driving. Roadside Safety Checks are designed to keep Illinois roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the roads.

Information on the Illinois State Police road side safety checks go to www.isp.state.il.us.
