Archer Daniels Midland Company recently donated $5,000 to the Kiwanis International and the Kiwanis Clubs of Quincy. The donation will go toward the construction of the new Lincoln Park Shelter House, located just east of the new Kiwanis Centennial Playground.
"We are extremely grateful to ADM for this very generous donation, which will assist us in the construction of the Lincoln Park Shelter House, a much needed resource for those who utilize the Kiwanis Centennial Playground.   ADM’s donation is a testament to their enduring commitment of building stronger communities” said Chad Rodgers, President of the Quincy Noon Kiwanis, and a member of the Kiwanis Shelter House Committee.

The Kiwanis Clubs of Quincy are service club organizations committed to “Serving the children of the world, one community and one child at a time.”  The Kiwanis Clubs of Quincy have donated millions of dollars in funds and volunteer hours to serve the children of this community.  The Lincoln Park Shelter House project emerged due to the immediate success of the Kiwanis Centennial Playground, which has drawn thousands of users, and garnered high praise from parents and children alike.  The clubs have generated over $125,000 in donations, needing another $55,000 to complete the project.

The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
