The Annual Shed Hunt for Youth event will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2016.

The event runs from 9am to 3pm at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center. The goal is to introduce interested youth to the out of doors when most are getting a good dose of cabin fever. The Visitor lobby will be filled with informational booths from various groups on deer and other related outdoor topics through out the day, while the Monroe City White tails Unlimited Chapter will be providing a lunch of hot dogs,soup and chips.

The event is free for all age groups but pre-registration is required by 4pm on February 5. Registration for the Kiddie Hunt may be made by calling the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center at 217-565-2112 from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Participation will be limited to the first 150 registrants and their parents.
