Dealing with Charlie Hunnam's recent departure, the makers of '50 Shades of Grey' had to make quick work of finding a new actor to play Christian Grey. The replacement has been found. It's Jamie Dornan.

If the name means little, it's because Dornan has been doing television recently, with a role on 'Once Upon a Time' as Sheriff Graham / The Huntsman and on the recent British series 'The Fall.' Cinematically, he's mostly worked abroad, though he had a part in Sofia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette.'

This news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who make note that the film is scheduled to have a November 1 start date, so this production didn't have a lot of wiggle room if it plans to meet its August 1, 2014 release date. Basically, they had a week to spare in terms of casting the lead of their movie. But as is the case with a lot of adaptation of best-selling books, the selling point won't be the actors, but the book itself being brought to life. In terms of box office, they're not trading much by replacing Hunnam -- who wasn't a factor in the success (or failure, depending on how you look at it) of 'Pacific Rim' -- for Dornan. But one's thing's for sure: He's coming in with little prep time.
