Project Lifesaver Kickoff is Today

The Project Lifesaver Fundraiser Kickoff will be held today at the Quincy Senior Center at 639 York Street in Quincy at 1pm. Project Lifesaver is a program that assists families with Autism, Alzheimer's Down Syndrome and other related diseases and disabilities by placing an electronic band on their ankle or wrist.  This will allow them to be tracked if they wander off from loved ones and become lost. Officer Tom Liesen, Elder Service Officer of the Quincy Police Department, will give an equipment demonstration on the program. Mayor John Spring will also be in attendance to read a proclamation.
