34 Year Old Male Shot in Quincy

This Monday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m. officers from the Quincy Police Department responded to Blessing Hospital for a report of a subject who had arrived by private vehicle to their facility with a gunshot wound.

Further investigation revealed a 34 year old male had received a non life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder area.  He was treated and released.  The identity of the victim has not been released.

The shooting is not being treated as a random act as it appears, according to the police report, that the subjects involved were known to each other.

At this time no arrests have been made and the investigation continues. The Quincy Police Department is continuing their investigation in to today's shooting..
