Everything Happening in Hannibal This Halloween

Hannibal is your Halloween Headquarters this year. From haunted houses, mazes, scary wooded trails, trunk-or-treat events, ghost tours and a new Haunted Hannibal Festival, you'll find all the spooks and scares you can handle for the season.

The crowning event is the first-ever Haunted Halloween Festival. It starts with a Ghoul's Night Out on Friday, Oct. 26 and runs until Oct. 31 with two parades and a big line-up of events. The line up for Saturday, October 27th includes Living and Dead Windows, where merchants decorate their windows, staged with montages of real (or undead) people. There's also a pet parade at 6:30 p.m. followed by a people parade and costume contest.

On Halloween, downtown merchants will host trick-or-treaters at their businesses. The streets will be lined with vehicles for trunk-or-treat too. There will be booths, activities and monster trucks, all between 5pm to 8pm on Main Street. Click here for a full list of times and activities.

The Hannibal Jaycees have brought back The Warehouse of Nightmares.  It features 7000 square feet of thrills and chills. It's open this weekend from 7:30 to midnight at 320 S. Third. You can also buy a ticket to play Zombie Paintball.

Another option is the Hannibal Haunted Church at 515 Lyon Street, which has been the setting for paranormal activity for decades. It's open from 7:30 to midnight.

Between Hannibal and Palmyra off Highway 61, you'll see a sign for Parker's Corn Maze and nearby there's also the Haunted Hollow Haunted Trail. Travel down Highway 61 between Hannibal and New London and you'll find the POPS Club Haunted Woods.

Also running through the month of October are the Haunted Hannibal Ghost Tours. The Hannibal History Museum has been hosting the tours for several years now. They've become so popular in the region that tours often sell out so reservations are recommended.

Several churches are hosting trunk-or-treat events. Many businesses have pumpkin painting, Halloween specials and parties planned. It'll be a Halloween to remember in Hannibal!
