Concerts You Can See This Summer in Kansas City, but Not in St. Louis
Summer will be here before you know it. We've starting compiling information on upcoming summer concerts for 2015. When we do this, we usually focus on concerts in St. Louis, since it is the nearest major city to us, and it's a city that many of the major tours visit. However, sometimes you have to travel just a little farther to see your favorite acts. While many of the same artists and bands will be performing in both St. Louis and Kansas City, there are a few that (as of this writing) only have Kansas City dates booked for this summer.
Tears for Fears
80s music fans rejoice! There are not many Tears for Fears concert dates booked for this summer, but a show at Uptown Theater in Kansas City is one of them! The group behind "Shout," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Head Over Heals" will perform on Monday, June 15. Tickets are $39.50-$95.
Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional
Third Eye Blind is on tour this year with Dashboard Confessional. The tour does not have St. Louis on the schedule, but there is a Kansas City date. Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional will be at Uptown Theater in Kansas City on Monday, July 6. Ticket prices are $34-$75. They are on sale now.
Summerland
Summerland 2015 stars Everclear, Fuel, the Toadies and American Hi-Fi. The Kansas City stop on the tour will be Friday, July 24 at Kansas City Live! in the Power & Light District. The show starts at 7. Admission is only $5. You have to be 21 or older to attend.
One Direction
One Direction played at the Edward Jones Dome last August. This summer, it's Arrowhead Stadium's turn. What a cool place to see a concert. The One Direction concert at Arrowhead is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28. Ticket prices start at $29.50 and go as high as $99.50. The group will also be at Soldier Field in Chicago about a month later.
