The Dogwood Festival returns to Quincy Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 6. Here is a schedule of events;

Thursday, May 2

- 7pm Little King & Queen of Dogwood Pageant, Quincy Mall Center Court

- 7pm Quincy Notre Dame High School Spring Choral Concert, QND Gym

- 7:30pm "Rainmaker" production at Quincy Community Theatre

Friday, May 3

- 6pm Dogwood block parties at various locations, sponsored by Y-101

- 7:30pm "Rainmaker" production at Quincy Community Theatre

- 7:30pm Quincy University Chamber Choir and Concert Choir concert at Connie Niemann Center for Music

Saturday, May 4

- 8am Yard & Bake Sale at Quincy Museum, 1601 Maine

- 8:30am Breakfast on the lawn, First Christian Church, 1415 Maine

- 9am to 6pm Amusement rides, food, crafts in Washington Park. Also includes a fundraiser for Relay For Life where attendees can hit a car with a sledgehammer for donations. Safe Kids kits will be distributed between 1 and 4pm.

- 9:30am Dogwood Parade starting at 24th & Maine and proceeding to 6th & Maine. Bring a canned food item for the "Operation Serve" collection for local food pantries.

- 12pm Tricycle Race registration. Races begin at 12:30pm. Sponsored by Gem City Kiwanis Club.

- 2pm-4pm Entertainment at 5th & Hampshire which includes vocal entertainment at 1pm, Cindy Vancil Dancers at 1:45pm and Kroc Center Taekwondo at 2:30pm

- 6pm Dogwood Ball at The Elks Club, 311 North 2nd, sponsored by American Business Women's Association. Music by Raised On Radio. Dinner at 6, dancing from 7 to 11pm. Tickets are $25 per person and available at F&M Bank or the Quincy Chamber of Commerce.

- 7:30pm "Rainmaker" production at Quincy Community Theatre

Sunday, May 6

- 8am Dogwood Bowl Flag Football Tournament at Flinn Stadium. Click here for details.

- 12pm-4pm Amusement rides, food and crafts in Washington Park. Sake Kids kits will be distributed from 1pm-4pm.

- 1pm-3pm Entertainment at 5th & Hampshire including YMCA martial arts at 1pm and YMCA zumba at 2pm.

- 1pm-4pm Pet events, vendors and demonstrations, sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus

- 1pm-5pm Quincy Preserves House Tour featuring 6 historic homes. For ticket information call 217-222-2432
