For the past several years Culver Stockton has had little to brag about when it came to athletics but they have something now. That something is Culver-Stockton freshman Megan Miehe (pronounced MEE-HEE) of Davenport, Iowa.
Megan is a standout golfer and her skills on the links will be seen next week in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Women's Golf National Championships in Tennessee. According to Sports Information Director John Schild, the NAIA has released the first and second round pairings for the 20th annual event which will take place at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tennessee on May 15th through the 18th. Megan Miehe is scheduled to begin her opening round on the 10th hole at 2:10pm EDT on Monday. On Tuesday, Miehe will open the second round by teeing off No. 1 at 7:30am EDT. Miehe qualified for the national tournament by capturing individual medalist honors at the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Women’s Golf Championships last week. Miehe is the first player in Culver's history to qualify for the national event. Megan is one of 144 players in the field and no matter where she may finish she will be number one on the "Harvard on the Hill campus. Good luck to Megan!
